Nicole is based on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada and has a background in public policy and law, including marine, environmental and Indigenous rights law. Her heart is tethered to the ocean and she is grateful that her work at Equal Routes centers on a vision of global waters and the communities that are intertwined with them thriving together sustainably and equitably.
